The Artist
Mara Costa
Mara Costa was born in Torres Vedras, a town in the district of Lisbon, Portugal. She lives in her country, close to her family, on a quinta she built from the ground up.
She remembers art as the foundation of everything, for as long as she can remember being a person. Her creative spirit gives her the freedom to move between many projects, but drawing is where her heart is. Each observational piece is made with care, attention to detail, and a deep focus on presence and stillness.
Mara works with original pieces of personal meaning. Her first collection was completed in 2026, and she accepts a limited number of commissions each year.
